Welcome to Centennial and Class 4B!!
This year we will work hard and learn a lot. We will enjoy 180 picture books together, and you will read over 40 chapter books. You'll learn to multiply and divide, as well as, fractions. You'll learn about the US regions and states. You'll learn about natural disasters and extreme weather.
We will be trying new ideas and activities this year. I guarantee that you will make mistakes and learn from them. I also guarantee that I will make mistakes and learn from them also. Making mistakes is a great thing!!
The picture on the left shows my family. I have 3 children: Kennedy, Abby, and Nathaniel. Kennedy is the oldest and graduated from PCHS. She is attending Sauk Valley Community College to become a nurse. Abby is our middle child and is a senior at PCHS. Nathaniel is our youngest and will be a sophomore at PCHS.
My husband's name is Ken. He works for the State of IL. He's also a local fireman and part-time policeman.
This will be my 25th year teaching in Polo. I've taught both 4th and 5th grades. I also coach 7th grade volleyball. I received my undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and my graduate degree from St. Xavier University.
